Too Cool....

Alice found her brother's Spider man sunglasses this morning and decided that they looked far better on her than on him. I have to sorta agree!! Not too much to report from sunny Tassie at the moment. I had a wee operation yesterday to fix up some 'women's problems' so Alice and I are lying low today. DH has had to go to Sydney on business, so my Big Girl very kindly volunteered to stay home from school today and help out with Genghis Khan junior. I am a very lucky mum indeed to have two such awesome daughters!!!

Brain Fart Resolved

Seems as though Blogger has gotten over it's earlier seizure and has given me back all the blogs I follow. Hurrah!!! Will promise to try and upload some more photos soon.

Grrr...

Blogger seems to have had some sort of brain fart today and has decided to wipe my (extensive) list of blogs that I follow. Now I have to re-load them all into Blogger. Grrrr.....

Learned something today...

That I should NEVER leave Daisy the Dog unattended in the house, even for a few minutes. I went out to take the garbage down to the end of the driveway, and by the time I got back, Daisy had jumped up onto the kitchen bench, grabbed the bag of half frozen chicken thighs and was just preparing to tear the bag open and have a feast when I returned. Naughty puppy!!!!!!

Has it really been ten days???

Over a week since my last post!! I simply do not know where the time is going at the moment. Life is certainly keeping me busy, yet there is nothing of great interest to say!!! Here are a couple of photos of Alice and her Big Brother for you to have a peek at. Yes, she has teary eyes from a threatened tantrum, but the tantrum was averted when BB agreed to read 'Where is the Green Sheep?' to her!! Oh, if you were wondering, it is beetroot all down the front of BB's t-shirt....

And just a couple from the garden.

I only have one rose bush in my (mostly) native Australian garden, and I am always keen to capture it in it's glory. It is called 'Rhapsody in Blue' and is very special to me as the grade 3/4 class gave it to me when I finished up my teacher's aide work before travelling to China to meet Alice. I particularly like the shot in which you can see the iridescent snail slime on the petals!!

Alice Goes to PlayGroup

Since the beginning of the new school year, Alice and I have been attending a play group at the school which she will be going to when she is 'a big girl'!! Her big brother is in grade four at this school, and big sister was there until this year, but is now at a different school, being as though she is now a high schooler. Anyway, Alice just loves play group, and one of the best things about it is that she is mixing with kids whom she will be starting school with in a few years time, and hanging out in the classroom where she will be a big kinder girl in 2012. So here are a few pics of her having a ball at play group - I particularly like the one of her doing her special camera smile (ie: eyes squeezed tightly shut!!)
